Employment Opportunities

Cushing Academy encourages resumes from teacher candidates with successful teaching experience as well as those who have earned their bachelor's, master's and/or doctoral degrees, and who possess strong academic training in relevant subject areas.

Teachers at Cushing typically work with 50 or fewer students divided among four classes. Faculty members generally coach two seasons each year and live in a dormitory where they supervise and counsel approximately 10 students.

Cushing's faculty salaries rank in or near the top 10 percent of boarding schools in the United States. Other benefits include health insurance, TIAA/CREF retirement annuities, and housing and dining privileges.
