In an effort to expose our students to essential life skills and topics that don’t occur in a traditional classroom setting, part of last Saturday’s Community Weekend focused on exactly that. For the second year in a row, a series of Life Labs provided practical workshops and hands-on opportunities for our juniors, seniors, and PGs. This year’s choices included sessions on money management, CPR certification, sports recruiting, nutrition for wellness, knitting, planter-to-plate gardening, and our own version of Iron Chef cooking skills, among others. For freshmen and sophomores, the weekend kicked off their College Counseling process with valuable information and engaging workshops to help prepare them for the journey ahead.
